About us : Our association

The Quebec Mineral Exploration Association (QMEA) is a non-profit organization that represents players in Quebec’s mining sector.

The Association was founded in 1975 to increase mining exploration in Quebec and support the development of mining entrepreneurship in Quebec. Today, QMEA represents 1,100 individual members and 180 corporate members.

MISSION

QMEA has a mission to promote sustainable, responsible exploration for mineral resources in Quebec and their vital place in Quebec’s economy.

VISION

QMEA’s future vision is to become the benchmark in mining exploration expertise and responsible development in Quebec.

HISTORY

More than 40 years ago, the Association des prospecteurs du Québec saw the opportunity to stimulate exploration truly specific to Quebec. Now, under the name Quebec Mineral exploration Association, all players in Quebec’s mining sector rally around similar issues that remain just as relevant today.

Annual General Meeting

Be in the heart of the action and apply for one of the 8 positions to be filled.

In order to apply, you must complete the nomination form and send it to us before October 4, 2023, 4 pm by email to info@aemq.org.

To allow greater member participation into the election of the bord of directors of the QMEA, the vote will be carried out by electronic vote in the weeks before the AGM. Information on every candidates will be available to voting members during the period provided for this purpose and the results will be announced at the AGM on October 31, 2023.
